As a new mom, (Am I still new? How long do I get to be new for??) time is of the essence. Although hair curling doesn’t seem like a timesaver, it is when I use it to extend the life of my blow dry. I generally curl my hair once or twice a week…not to be fancy or anything, but more so that I don’t have to wash my hair as often. Most weeks I wear my hair blow dried straight for a day, curled for a day, and in a pony for a day. Dry shampoo is one of my saving graces. Especially now that Wyatt is constantly on the move, it’s hard to get a full shower in unless he’s napping, so I rely on dry shampoo to keep my hair fresh between washes. Washing and blowdrying my hair less has helped make it healthier as well…added bonus!
Start to finish, it usually takes me about 10 minutes to curl my hair…don’t worry I edited the video down, you would have been bored to pieces listening to me ramble on about my mane for that long. This is also my first video on here, so bear with me. I shot it while Wyatt was napping and went with the one-and-done approach because ya know, once you curl your hair you can’t really reshoot. After watching myself on video I learned some important lessons for next time: 1. I need to remove the word “um” from my vocabulary (bonus points for whoever counts the number of times I said it), and 2. I need to stop furrowing my brow or Botox will have to come sooner rather than later…jk Tim, jk.
Below are the products I currently use in my hair routine and I love all of them!
