Sometimes dressing your new bump body is tricky, and it seems to be changing all the time. For some reason, the majority of maternity clothes are just NOT as cute as regular clothes. There are too many weird prints, tons of ruching and even the fabrics themselves seem to be of worse quality. But some brands do a great job with their clothes, and it is possible to find awesome maternity clothes without spending a fortune on a new wardrobe!
Some of my favorite places to shop for reasonably priced maternity clothes are: LOFT, H&M, Gap, ASOS, and A Pea in the Pod. But I do my fair share of hunting around elsewhere as well! I almost ALWAYS shop online for maternity clothes because the selection is way better than in the store even at maternity specific places.
Here are three tips to make the most of your maternity wardrobe:
- If you’re finding it hard to find cute tops, try looking for non-maternity tunic length shirts and sweaters with some stretch.
- Try layering your existing pieces. Sometimes you already have long enough tops, or try layering a sweater you already have over tops that are maternity length!
- Dresses are your best friend! TONS of non-maternity dresses will fit you through the end of your pregnancy if they are long and stretchy enough! Sweater dresses with boots have been one of my go-tos this winter!
Below are a few of my favorite maternity pieces that I’ve been sporting the first half of this pregnancy! You can always check out my MATERNITY page (under the “Pregnancy” section or in “Shop” > “My Closet”) I update that regularly with new pieces that get!
