My sister and sister-in-law are both getting married next year and I got the pleasure to shoot both of their engagement pictures (in one week!) This was my first time shooting engagement pictures, or really anyone formally besides Tim, Wyatt and I. Because of this, I made everyone do their research and head to Pinterest to find “couples poses” that they like so we could try some out…I didn’t know what I was doing, let’s be honest!
Luckily my sister, Katie, and her fiance, Lenny, were very easy models to work with and knowing them very well didn’t hurt either. They were willing to try anything, literally…Katie climbed up in a tree in heels for a few snaps, and we all tromped through the woods, they were such good sports. I was out in San Francisco, where they live, so we got to shoot in Golden Gate Park which has so many beautiful spots. It was THE sunniest day in SF (where’s that fog when you need it), so we were constantly on the hunt for shade. Katie + Lenny are a pretty relaxed couple, their feathers are not ruffled easily, and they have a really fun time together, and that showed in their pics, there was a lot of authentic laughter and genuine smiles. And although my sister normally hates taking pictures, she said after our short hour of shooting, that she could have done another hour…might have been the champagne, or that she was just hanging out with her two fav people 😉 who knows. But we had to wrap it up because we had an appointment for wedding dress shopping immediately after! Here’s a sneak peek, happy engagement, lovebirds!
