Maine is an amazing summer vacation destination, it has SO many beautiful areas and from the Boston area many of them are just a hop, skip and jump away! This week, we took a day trip from the Boston suburbs to Ogunquit, ME. Ogunquit is a quintessential New England town on the southern coast of Maine that has a long sandy beach peninsula and a gorgeous cliff walk along the water called the Marginal Way… a 1.25 mile scenic seaside stroll that stretches from one end of Ogunquit to Perkins Cove, the cutest little area filled with shops and restaurants.
As the mom of a toddler, summertime trips & activities are a must! Luckily in New England there are tons of fun and easy trips I can take Wyatt on to give us both some new and shared experiences. For everyday life and excursions like this, it’s important to me that I have comfortable mom-friendly clothes that also make me look put together (with minimal effort).
I was recently introduced to Evereve, a clothing retailer that focuses on empowering moms. Evereve stylists are trained in body type and understand the various lifestyles of moms to help dress women to look and feel their best. Evereve carries clothing for the mom working 9-5, the mom celebrating girl’s night out, or stay at home mom. They have a variety of private label styles and brands that I already know, love and wear, and their site is easy to navigate…and the cherry on top is that they have kids play areas in all of their stores! (UM, amazing.)

For all of you Bostonians…Evereve has an existing store in Hingham, and they’re opening a brand new store in Chestnut Hill on June 20th! To celebrate the opening, they’re offering a 15% discount from 6/20-6/24 in-store, so go check them out!
On Thursday, 6/21 they’re hosting a fun Ladies Night Out with sips & snacks from 6-8pm and of course shopping at 15% off of the entire store…I’ll be there, I hope you can swing by!
I like classic styles with a mix of trendy pieces, and their summer selections do not disappoint. Between the clean timeless shape of the bow neck shell, to the on-trend chambray off the shoulder top, and everything in between, I felt like I was shopping in my own closet. Thank you to Evereve for outfitting me for this trip to show off my summer style in beautiful New England.

Our itinerary for our 80 degree and sunny day was simple. We left at around 9am, the 1 hour drive north was easy-breezy, and we found a parking lot close to Ogunquit Beach when we arrived. We walked through town, poked around in a few shops, then hopped on the Marginal Way. We took in the 1.25 miles of scenery (it’s stroller friendly!), and it took a little longer than anticipated because for Wyatt that meant picking up every rock along the way and throwing it into the ocean. We passed the most adorable lighthouse and some gorgeous homes with amazing views.

Eat
We got to Perkins Cove (Marginal Way leads right there) right around lunchtime and after consulting a few sources, decided that the best lobster roll would be found at The Lobster Shack. Apparently few other people had the same idea because there was a line outside of this spot and no others. But the wait wasn’t long, and we were soon eating our way through some seriously delicious lobster rolls. I prefer a hot-butter lobster roll versus a cold-mayo one (I love them all though), but this cold-mayo version was just perfection. The fried roll was still warm when we got it and they did not skimp on the lob meat. We got some cold beer, and a little hot chowder for the table.

Do
We stopped by a few stores in Perkins Cove before heading back in the reverse direction on the Marginal Way. The return was much quicker (but just at beautiful) because Wyatt took a little nap in the stroller. Once we ended our walk and popped in a few shops, we ended the afternoon with a dip of our toes in the Atlantic at the Ogunquit Beach. Wyatt was still sleeping at this point so we didn’t stay long, but soaked up a few rays and froze our toes off in the ocean water. Everyone was exhausted from the sun, sand and stroll so we packed up and headed home until the next New England adventure!
Hope to see you on Thursday, 6/21 at the Evereve Ladies Night Out from 6-8pm at their brand new Chestnut Hill location!
