My husband and I are both from the Boston area so needless to say, we are Patriots fans. And by default, Wyatt is a Pats fan too, he has this rattle set, this mini football, and this Patriots book. And during games he likes to sport this adorable jersey. I’m not a big sports-fan apparel wearer, but I found this perfect Patriots sweater…

My little helper Wyatt, and I baked up some pumpkin bread this week, something I love doing as soon as it’s seasonally appropriate. Tim loves this stuff and it makes the house smell gloriously festive. Plus it’s super easy. (I also cut corners by not separating the wet and dry ingredients. I never do that…am I the only one, how lazy am I?) The recipe also makes so much pumpkin bread that I often freeze…

Engagement Pictures: Whitney + Todd

0

Whitney (my sister-in-law) and her fiance, Todd got engaged in August and this past week I got to shoot their engagement pictures and help throw an engagement party for them! Having shot my sister and her fiance’s engagement pictures in San Francisco a few days before, I felt slightly more prepared for this shoot, although again, I made them get on Pinterest to familiarize themselves with some “couple poses.” However, instead of trying to find shade, like in the last shoot, this time we were literally chasing the sun.

We found this amazing venue…

This was my first time shooting engagement pictures, or really anyone formally besides Tim, Wyatt and I. Because of this, I made everyone do their research and head to Pinterest to find “couples poses” that they like so we could try some out…I didn’t know what I was doing, let’s be honest!

Luckily my sister, Katie, and her fiance, Lenny, were very easy models to work with and knowing them very well didn’t…

Wyatt’s First Birthday Party

1

Wyatt’s first birthday was something I started thinking about a few months in advance, I was super excited about it and am crazy about party planning. I love a good theme for a birthday party, and even though this was a kid’s party, I still wanted it to be tasteful. My go-to first move when party planning is Pinterest. As soon as I came across the “Party Animal” theme, I knew it was the one…plus Wyatt’s love of animals didn’t hurt. The party was a success, we ended up having 24 adults and 6 babies in our little apartment. It…

First Birthday Cake Smash

A cake smash is something that I’ve wanted to do with my baby since before I ever had one. It was a lot calmer than I envisioned, Wyatt wasn’t sure at first what he should do with the mound of sugar in front of him, and then once he figured it out, he went to town. There was no throwing or actual smashing of the cake, but there was plenty of smushing and squishing. And then, when he decided he was all done, he just crawled away.

I included way…
