Big Boy Bed

We got Wyatt a big boy bed when he was two and a half. He wasn’t showing any signs of climbing out of his crib and he was perfectly comfortable in there, we hadn’t potty trained yet so he didn’t need to get out for any reason, but we needed his crib for baby Reese.

Here’s a look at Wyatt’s “big boy” room. I redid it over a year ago at this point, so it’s finally time I share it.

I went for a subtle vintage sports theme in Wyatt’s room. I wanted it masculine, but still kid friendly, with things he could age with without it being too “themey.” I used neutrals, dark metals & muted blues.

No-Sew Faux Roman Shades

We have two skinny windows next to our master bed that I’ve struggled with. Some basic shades exist on them already that aren’t very visually appealing. I decided roman shades were the way to go with these, however after scouring the internet, I found super limited options at the width I would need, and I am not ready to commit to custom shades for this space. A Morning At The Zoo

Now that Massachusetts is starting to open back up, I’ve been jumping at any safe activity I can do with my kids that’s outside of our own backyard. We took Wyatt and Reese to Franklin Park Zoo in Boston this week & it was so great to have a change of scenery in a way we felt comfortable with: outdoors, distance, masks & plenty of sanitation.

DIY Blue & White Paper Napkin Eggs
